This article is about how global deforestation is costing the world way more money than it should and way more money that it is spending on other things. There are many problems with deforestation but one that this article focused on was how many tribes and groups of people that inhabit the forests or the surrounding areas rely on the natural resources that the forests have to survive including food and shelter. I think that it is silly that people could want or plan to spend tons and tons of money on cutting down trees when there are many world concerns that could use more attention. Not to mention that you would think that there would be the technology to use a way more cost efficient way of getting materials for building or whatever they need the homes of the people and animals that live there for. The economy is doing very badly and we are sending large sums of money into ruining homes and lives… also referred to as deforestation!

That is really sad, a lot of times people forget to be concerned about the people living around places where people’s home environments are being destroyed by large corporations. I agree with you that there should be a better way to get building materials from renewable resources, it is actually pretty shocking to hear that harmful deforestation is still going on. There should be much more being done to protect the forests because if forests continue to be cut down pretty soon there won’t be much left. I also agree that all this money should be put other places and that good environmentally conscious alternatives should be found.
