    Sawdust to fuel

It seems that sceintists are making breakthroughs in turning sawdust into biofuel. This has been a goal for sometime but difficult to achieve due to the complex molectular structure involved and the cost of course. This article gives details of what progress is being made to make this come to pass.

The problem with ethanol appears to be that since they are taking something that is actually a renewable food source for humans and cattle, and turning it into fuel; the cost of the food stuff itself is going up. In our current economy, everyone want to find new fuel sources that will be better for the environment, but nobody really wants to spend more money.

How do you all feel about the renewable fuel search? What resources do you see that are the most feasible? Are there any being persued that you feel have to high an impact on the economy, environment, etc.?

If the program outlined in this article proves to be a cost feasible option, we may all have to sweep our garages after wood working projects. Also, there will be a push to plant trees that are rapid growth. What other obsticles do you see?
