Four states' unemployment rates above 10%

Unemployment rates are increasing just about everywhere. The only state who had a decrease in unemployment rate is Louisiana. Their unemployment rate fell to 5.1%. The country dropped 651,000 jobs in February alone. It was about the same in the month of January when 655,000 jobs were cut. And a whopping total of 3.3 million jobs have been lost in the last six months! The nation’s unemployment rate February stood at 8.1%, the highest it’s been in 25 years. Four states lead to the increase in the in the unemployment rate. These four states have reached the double digit mark in unemployment percentage rate. The great state of Michigan has the highest unemployment percentage of any other state with 11.6%. The automotive industry is held accountable for the loss of 53,000 of the jobs lost in Michigan. South Carolina came in second with a 10.4% of unemployed. South Carolina was at the top of the list in terms of monthly increase in unemployment rate. They increased 1.6% from January to February. Rhode Island came in third with 10.3%, while California came in fourth with 10.1%. Some states have rather low unemployment rates when you compare to the higher rates. Wyoming has a rate of 3.7%, which was only a .5% increase from December to February.
I hope our country can tough out the situation that we are in right now. Hopefully it is just a matter of time and something will kick start us in the right direction and everything will be back to normal.
